Code of Conduct
Standards for members of the Cigar Academy Members Club
The Cigar Academy Members Club is a private, premium community. Membership is a privilege, not a right. By joining, you agree to uphold the following standards at all times — in the lounge, at events, and within our digital community.
1. Respect & Courtesy
Treat every member, guest, and staff member with dignity and respect. Disagreements are natural; hostility is not. Engage in conversations with an open mind and a civil tone.
2. Discretion & Privacy
What happens in the club stays in the club. Do not share private conversations, personal information, or photographs of other members without their explicit consent. Business discussions held in confidence must remain so.
3. No Harassment or Discrimination
Harassment, bullying, or discrimination of any kind — whether based on gender, ethnicity, religion, orientation, or background — will not be tolerated. This applies to both in-person interactions and online communications.
4. Professional Conduct
Members are expected to conduct themselves in a manner befitting a premium private club. Excessive intoxication, disruptive behaviour, or any conduct that damages the club's reputation is grounds for immediate review.
5. Lounge Etiquette
Respect shared spaces. Keep noise levels appropriate. Return items to their place. Tip staff generously if you feel so inclined — they make the experience possible.
6. Digital Community Standards
The members feed, messaging, and event discussions are extensions of the club. The same standards of respect and discretion apply online. No spam, no solicitation, no inappropriate content.
7. Guest Policy
Members may bring guests in accordance with club policy. You are responsible for your guest's behaviour. Guests must be briefed on these standards before arrival.
8. Management's Right to Act
The club management reserves the right to suspend or revoke membership at any time, without refund, if a member's conduct is deemed incompatible with the club's values. Decisions are final.
By maintaining these standards, we preserve what makes this club exceptional: a space of trust, quality, and genuine connection among like-minded individuals.
